Prohibited Items

ShipLucid is designed for everyday domestic packages. Some items cannot be shipped through our standard workflow because they are illegal, restricted by carriers, or require special handling.

If an item may require special handling or is not supported, you will see: “This item may require special handling or may not be supported by ShipLucid. A label cannot be created through the standard workflow.”

Not supported

The following categories are blocked in ShipLucid. This list is not exhaustive — carrier rules also apply.

Illegal and controlled substances

Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.

Weapons and ammunition

Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and fireworks.

Alcohol and tobacco

Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and vaping supplies.

Hazardous materials

Aerosols, flammable liquids, certain chemicals, and loose lithium batteries.

Live animals and remains

Live animals, insects, and human remains.

Counterfeit and stolen goods

Counterfeit products, stolen property, and intentionally misdeclared items.

May require review

Some items are not automatically blocked but may be held for manual review before a label can be created.

  • Prescription medication and pharmaceuticals
  • Lithium batteries installed in devices
  • High-value or unusual items
  • Vague or incomplete item descriptions
